Sterifast Chemical Indicator EO (Ethylene Oxide)
The EO Helix PCD Indicators are chemical process challenge test (PCD) strips designed to verify gas penetration in Ethylene Oxide sterilization cycles. Used as a daily test for pre-vacuum hospital sterilizers and benchtop Class B gas sterilizers, the Helix PCD test detects even the smallest amounts of inert gas capability by challenging the sterilization process through an 80 cm helix tube. Upon exposure to Ethylene Oxide, the strip's four indicator zones transition from blue to khaki green, providing a clear, immediate visual confirmation of gas penetration. These strips are 100% free of toxic heavy metals and are intended to complement — not replace — routine sterilization cycle monitoring via lot control sets and pack integrators.
