Sterifast

Invisible Protection, Powered by Innovation

Sterifast began with a group of engineers driven by a shared ambition: to build a more reliable, safer alternative to conventional sterilization. Development started in 2006, and by 2008 the team introduced its first low-temperature plasma sterilizer — only the third plasma technology to reach the market at the time.

In 2013, this expertise evolved into ECOPlasma, a hydrogen peroxide plasma technology using a concentration of just 35%, engineered to combine high efficacy with a safer, more sustainable operating profile. Along the way, this commitment to innovation led Sterifast to secure multiple patents for its plasma sterilization technology.

As our understanding of infection control deepened, our focus expanded beyond sterilization equipment into chemical and biological indicators and sterile barrier packaging — building a complete infection control offering that protects medical devices from sterilization through storage and use.

Today, Sterifast is a member of the Sterile Barrier Association (SBA), the European reference body for sterile barrier systems — a reflection of our ongoing commitment to the standards that hospitals and clinics depend on.

Member of SBA

Sterifast is a proud member of the Sterile Barrier Association (SBA), the European trade association for companies producing Sterile Barrier Systems (SBS) and associated equipment for the healthcare industry.

Sterile Barrier Systems allow single-use and reusable medical devices to be sterilized after manufacture or after use — whether at a medical device manufacturer or in a hospital's Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD). In both cases, their critical function is the same: maintaining product sterility up to the point of use.
